Trip To Bintan Day 1

Hi everyone i would like to share my experience at Indonesia, Bintan with readers of my blog. Read on!!!!

“Ring……Ring……Ring!” I jumped out of bed and looked at the calendar. It was the day my family and I would be going overseas. My face was flushed with excitement. It was the third time I am going overseas with my family. The first time we went to Australia, the second time was to Bintan Club Med. This time we are going there to let out all our stress. We have not gone overseas for five years. We were in an ecstatic mood. My mother called the taxi and it came almost immediately. We boarded it and set off in high spirits. When we arrived at the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, we went to the departure hall and waited for the ferry called ‘Wan Sendari’. It would be taking us to Bintan. We waited and waited and finally it was our turn to board the ferry.

We rushed into the ferry and found some seats. There were not enough seats as there were a lot of holiday goers, so I sat with my brother while my father, mother and sister sat together. Soon the captain of the ferry announced that the door would be closing and asked the passengers to be seated. Initially, the ferry was moving very slowly but suddenly it started accelerating and was soon moving faster than a speedboat. In a blink of an eye I saw that Singapore was no where in sight. Suddenly, the boat was shaking and the currents were very strong. I almost vomited. I closed my eyes and went to sleep. When I woke up, the trip was not over yet. I saw an island. It was filled with houses, trees and many more. I thought it was Bintan. After a few minutes, I noticed that we were not heading towards that island. I was very disappointed. Suddenly, I saw another island. I saw some words. It stated ‘Bintan Ferry Terminal’. My mind was whirling with excitement. I was the first one to stand up.

When the door opened, I dashed out of it. I was jumping around like a rabbit when I reached the platform. Almost everyone could tell that I was very excited. My family and I walked quickly towards the immigration counter. We queue up there. Those at the back of the queue were yawning. After a few minutes we were on a bus which was taking us to Club Med. Along the way the scenery was tremendous. There were trees, reservoirs, lakes and buildings. I saw a huge place with lots and lots of resort rooms. It was Club Med!

I ran out of the bus and found our luggage. I wanted to take it but my father stopped me. He said that the porter would bring our luggage to our rooms. We were brought to our rooms. When we reached there, it was lunch time already. I quickly changed into another shirt. Suddenly someone knocked on the door. I opened the door and saw that it was the porter. He brought our luggage into the room. We got ready and went to lunch. My stomach was growling. My father brought us to the restaurant. We went to find a seat while I rushed away to explore the restaurant. There were French fries, chicken nuggets and many other stuff. I was salivating. I immediately took out a plate and grabbed all the food I wanted. I went back to my table and ate the food quickly. I was the first to finish. I took chocolate chip ice-cream. It was delicious. It was also good to eat one on a hot day. I felt like my body was on fire until the ice cool ice cream extinguished it.

After lunch, we went to explore the place. We saw the trapeze, the children’s clubs, golf, chess, archery and squash. We went back to our rooms after that. I was exhausted after the walk. I lied down on my “new” comfortable bed. I switched on the television. I didn’t know which channel to watch. My brother came and switched the channel to number seventeen. Then, I saw one of the Ben 10 aliens. I said he was a genius and gave him a thumbs-up. We watched for an hour. We were addicted to it. Suddenly, the screen showed “To Be Continued…….” We jeered. By that time my father already woke up. He told us to change into our swimming trunks. Then, we went straight to the beautiful beach. I stripped and waited for my brother and father. My brother didn’t dare to strip. My father talked to him before he finally striped. I ran as fast as a cheetah. My father ran as slow as a pig. We dived into inviting sea. It was as warm as a Jacuzzi although its waves kept tossing us around. We splashed water at each other. We had enough of “massaging” and decided to go to the swimming pool. We showered and immediately jumped into the water. My brother and I splashed water at our father’s face and dived into the water. Although we did not have our goggles, we still could sense where we were. We went behind our father and splashed at him again. Suddenly I heard my mother’s voice. I turned around and saw my sister. I dived into the water because I did not want her to see my semi-naked body. Soon it was time to wash up and prepare for dinner. We quickly got out of the pool and got a towel. We immediately packed our things and went home to bathe. When we finished bathing, we watched “Ben 10 Alien Force” My sister was also there watching. Suddenly, my sister shouted, “Transform!” That was when Ben a character transformed into an alien. We all laughed. After that, we went for dinner. After dinner, we went straight home because I was sick. We went to bed and slept for the whole night.
